RUSSIAN LIPS WARRINGTON

Popular culture loves full, plump lips. To achieve these results and to have a more defined, fuller lip and a wrinkle free, happier mouth, I would recommend this treatment. Lip augmentation, or “Russian Lips” as the treatment is sometimes called, is a speedy solution for those wanting a smile that is slightly plumper.

Combine this with the Lip Blush treatment to inject some real glamour into your life!

Russian Lips with Dermal Filler

Your Russian Lips Questions Answered

In Russian lip technique the filler is injected vertically from bottom to the top of the lip, improving the lip contour and paying special attention to the cupid’s bow.

In Russian lip technique much smaller volumes of a dermal filler is used, placed in more parts of the lips. In this technique the filler is less likely to migrate over the lip border which is very typical in traditional lip augmentation technique.

So your lips will be flawless like a doll’s lips with a perfect pout. You can go for a natural but plump look so no one would guess they are not your natural lips, or you could go for instagram-like perfection that so many girls are after.

We use numbing cream before the treatment and we use dermal fillers with lidocaine to allow minimum discomfort.
Swelling and bruising are quite normal especially on the day after the treatment. Usually, it is reduced in 2-3 days and mostly completely healed in 2 weeks. So if planning to have this treatment for a special occasion, allow enough time for your lips to heal.
You can apply something cold like an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a cloth.
In about 3-4 weeks your filler should completely settle, and your lips should become soft.
You can absolutely have a Russian lip technique treatment if you’ve had lip fillers in the past.

However, Kristina Bradley will need to see your lips prior to the treatment, as we may need to dissolve this filler beforehand. By doing this, your old filler can be safely and efficiently removed and then in 2-4 weeks your fresh Russian lips can be created.

The procedure itself takes around 30 to 45 minutes, but you may need to allow some extra time for any numbing cream to work.
At Kristina Bradley salon in Warrington, we use few different CE-certified lip fillers. They last in average from 9 to 18 months, depending of how much filler was used. But you can always have a touch up procedure every 6 to 12 months to maintain the results.
Some swelling, tendersness and some bruising after this procedure is normal. Your lips will improve every day. To some people it’s just 24 hours downtime, to others – few days, depending how sensitive and gentle your skin is. This treatment may cause some discomfort but we do everything to make your treatment as pleasant as possible.

You can help to minimise bruising and swelling by avoiding alcohol the night before your treatment, using arnica tablets a week prior and a week after your treatment, using an ice pack before and after your treatment and avoiding hot baths, saunas and steam rooms for around 48 hours after your treatment.

  • Avoid heavy exercise for 2-4 days after the session.
  • Avoid steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs for at least 48 hours after the treatment.
  • Avoid makeup on your lips for 24 hours.
  • Sleep with a raised head for the first 48 hours.
  • Drink plenty of water.
