SO WHAT IS PROFHILO?

If you are looking to boost hydration, improve skin elasticity and firmness then Profhilo is your choice – an innovative treatment that stimulates the production of collagen in the skin by releasing Hyaluronic Acid.

Our body naturally produces Hyaluronic Acid so even though it is offered through an injectable, there is minor downtime. Profhilo suits those patients looking for natural results and an improvement in skin health.

Profhilo Skin booster is often described as an internal moisturiser, rather than dermal filler.

Clients describe skin as feeling intensely moisturised, plump and having an almost airbrushed look. It works by initially flooding the skin with Hyaluronic Acid but it also stimulates collagen and elastin production, leading to a tightening effect.

Profhilo is injected gently, just underneath the skin’s surface – there is some slight discomfort but it isn’t painful. Downtime is minimal with small swellings on the skin for a few hours post-treatment and bruising is rare.

The best results are seen after a course of two treatments, 4 weeks apart and improvements in skin health may be seen as quickly as 5 to 7 days post-treatment. Maximum results can be seen 6 weeks after the second treatment. These improvements in skin quality can be seen for up to 9 months, when repeat treatment is then recommended.

If your main goal is to achieve a smoother skin texture, to minimise fine lines and achieve a radiant complexion then a treatment with Profhilo is an excellent option. If however, you are looking to add volume to the face and would like to restore a beautifully balanced profile then dermal fillers will likely be the most appropriate treatment.

In general, Profhilo lasts about 6 months and we advise 2 treatments with a monthly interval. if 2 treatments are given one month apart. After your initial Profhilo treatment, coming back to see us every 6-9 months is advised in order to maintain the results to keep up the skin’s hydration and glow.

Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment with injections and patients generally report some mild discomfort during the procedure. After the treatment, you may experience some tenderness for the first 24 hours, and this is nothing unusual.
