Micro-needling which is a simple and safe way to improve the health of our skin. Micro-needling improves the appearance of ageing, acne, scarring and pigmentation issues. Micro-needling will improve your skins texture, firmness and will also reduce the fine lines and wrinkles.

How micro-needling works: Whilst performing this procedure, micro tears are made to the epidermis, using tiny needles which are either 0.5mm or 1mm. However, this is dependent on your individual needs. The micro tears are so microscopic, they are not visible to the naked eye.

Our body is amazing, and so its natural defence is to repair damage, thus stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen production creates new tissue; therefore, the result of micro needling is a fresher, younger looking appearance.

Your Micro Needling Questions Answered

The process isn’t excessively painful. It can be a little bit uncomfortable as the outermost layer of the skin is pricked with microneedles. Needles are working to promote collagen formation and skin regrowth. Usually, there is some irritation and skin redness after the procedure has ended, and within 24 hours it clears up.

Microneedling is a treatment used on a variety of skin conditions that cause depressions in the skin. This could be acne scarring, surgical scars, general scars, skin burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles and stretch marks.

You can expect the results of micro-needling treatments to last for about three to five months. However, the longevity of the results depends on two factors; how long new collagen lasts in your skin and the degree of your skin concerns.
