ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT WARRINGTON

Botox is actually the brand name, but over time, it has become synonymous with anti-wrinkle treatments.

In reality, there are several brands of botulinum toxin injections available.

When Botox or other botulinum toxin injections are administered, they work by relaxing the muscles responsible for wrinkles.

By blocking nerve signals to these muscles, they prevent them from contracting, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin.

While the effects are always temporary, they can last for several months.

Common treatment areas include:

  • Eyebrows
  • Forehead
  • Nose
  • Around the eyes (crow’s feet)

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment Warrington – FAQs

Your face will be cleaned and botulinum toxin will be injected into muscles in your face using a very fine needle.

You will need injections in different places, depending on the area being treated. The practitioner will ask you to move the muscles in your face to help find the best place for the injections. It usually takes about 10 minutes per area.

You may be able to see some results on the 3rd or 4th day after the treatment. However, you can evaluate a final result in 2 weeks when you will be invited for a review appointment.

You will be invited for a review appointment in 2 weeks after the treatment. If some areas need an additional treatment, more products will be injected into these areas. This is a free of charge appointment.

We use the smallest and thinnest needles so most or our clients experience no or very little discomfort during treatment.

You can return to work immediately after treatment. However, to reduce redness, swelling or bruising:

  • Don’t drink alcohol 24 hours and after the treatment.
  • Avoid sunbathing (including using sunbeds), and the sauna for 2 days
  • Don’t rub or put pressure on the treatment area for 12 hours.
  • Stay upright (don’t lie down or bend down) for 4 hours.
  • Avoid physical exercises for 24 hours.

On average, the effects should last about 3-4 months. However, we offer other treatments such as Hydrafacial & LPG that may prolong the effects of toxin treatment.

After treatment you may experience:

  • A headache and flu-like symptoms for the first 24 hours
  • Bruising, swelling and redness around insertion points
  • A frozen look – you might not be able to move the muscles in your face if too much botulinum toxin is injected
  • Temporary weakness and droopiness in your face – for example, your eyelids or eyebrows may droop if the botulinum toxin moves into these areas
